Gwyneth Nevard


Gwyneth has a broad background in sustainable tourism and land management; education and interpretation; business management; and communications and PR.
She has advanced core experience in administration; human resource management; marketing; accounting; fundraising and corporate governance.
From 2004: Coordinator of the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Queensland (;
since 2008 combining this with the role of manager of the Malanda Falls Visitor Centre (, a Wet Tropics World Heritage Area accredited facility, and consultancy in sustainable tourism and land management.
2002-2004: Manager of the Mareeba Heritage Museum.
1996-2002: Manager of the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve (
Also had a key role in establishing environmental studies at the Australian College of Tropical Agriculture to Certificate 3 and Diploma level, designing, supervising and teaching a wide range of subjects from botany to tourism, and training guides in conjunction with the Savannah Guides organisation.
