Tim Nevard


Tim has nearly 20 years of experience of designing and creating ecologically sustainable landscapes in many countries around the world. He also advises clients on corporate sustainability and responsibility issues.
From 2002: Director of Conservation of the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Queensland and the Pensthorpe Conservation Trust - responsible for development and strategic direction of conservation initiatives such as the Great Crane Project (, as well as collection policy; combining this with the role of Head of Sustainable Business for the Jordans and Ryvita Company and Chief Executive of Conservation Grade (, as well as a number of non-executive directorships in other charitable conservation trusts. Until 2008 he also combined these roles with that of Principal Environmental Scientist with the GHD Group.
1996-2002: Director of Centre for Tropical Urban and Regional Planning, James Cook University, Cairns, Queensland (; establishing a professionally accredited academic program at postgraduate level. Established the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve (
1992-1996: Senior Research Fellow, at the Centre for Applied Economic Research and Analysis, James Cook University, Cairns, Queensland and Cooperative Research Centre for Tropical Savannas.
1984-1992: Founder Director of the RPS Group Plc, environmental consultants. Left RPS in 1992 to pursue an academic career and become more actively involved in nature conservation.
